National Pan-Hellenic Council Endowed Academic Scholarship
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), established in 1930, promotes unity among historically African American fraternities and sororities.
To support NPHC student members who demonstrate leadership, advocacy, and commitment to the NPHC community, the NPHC Scholarship Endowed Fund was created. Once fully funded at $25,000, this need-based scholarship will help ease tuition costs for a deserving student who advances the NPHC’s mission on campus and in the community.
Denison’s NPHC chapter was chartered in 1985 and recognizes six organizations, including Alpha Phi Alpha, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Delta Sigma Theta, Phi Beta Sigma, and Sigma Gamma Rho. These organizations, founded during times of racial injustice, have been essential in fostering community, social change, and uplifting Black communities.
