Women’s Fencing

The Denison University women's fencing team looks to build off a fantastic campaign last year when they reached the No. 3 position in Division III in the US Fencing Coaches Association poll - the highest ranking in program history.

Recent victories include taking eight of the possible twelve medals at the 4th annual Denison Open in October, and earning four wins during The Ohio State University Invitational in September. Head coach Peter Grandbois, a member of Team USA Fencing, is also a professor of English and journalism at Denison. He helped anchor the US Men's Foil Team to a historic silver medal finish at the 2024 Veteran Fencing World Championships in Dubai.

The Big Red’s roster includes athletes from Southern California to New England and includes fencers from Turkey to China. Recent recruiting efforts have bolstered the program and bode well for the future.
